  • Beryllium Program - Hanford Site

BERYLLIUM PROGRAM AT HANFORD. Beryllium is a lightweight, durable metal that has wide spread industrial applications. The use of beryllium at the Hanford site during fuel element production, and maintenance of selected industrial components and tools, has resulted in potential occupational beryllium exposure to current and former employees.

  • Beryllium disease Genetic and Rare Diseases

2019-12-1  A pneumoconiosis, characterized by granulomatous inflammation, that occurs in individuals who develop beryllium sensitization (BeS), a cell-mediated immune response to environmental and occupational beryllium exposure. BeS precedes the lung disease that may present with chronic dry cough, fatigue, weight loss, chest pain, and increasing dyspnea.

  • Beryllium Exposure Testing - orise.orau.gov

2020-6-25  Captured in the Beryllium-Associated Worker Registry, ORISE also collects information from 27 reporting DOE sites on nearly 32,000 workers to assist DOE in the analysis of this health surveillance data focusing on predictive indicators and risk management. The ORISE beryllium testing program

  • Beryllium Safety - IH/OS SIG

2020-4-13  Beryllium Safety. Beryllium is a hard, lightweight metal that is very strong and easy to shape. Beryllium and beryllium compounds have many industrial uses. Beryllium copper alloys and beryllium oxide ceramics are used in the electronic, nuclear and aerospace industries.
